Žabljak
Žabljak is located at 1456 m above sea level and it the highest town in the Balkans. At first, it was called Varezina voda (water), because of the strong source of drinking water, around which the settlement was formed. Durmitor National Park is in the north-west of Montenegro. The town is the gateway to Durmitor National Park, which is why it’s one of the best places to see Montenegro’s ‘black mountains’ and raw nature.
